Cupcakes and Cheesecake

I know what you're thinking! You really shouldn't have cupcakes and cheesecake. I'm here to tell you that's false. One thing I LOVE about the 21 Day Fix is that it's a well balanced diet. I'm not cutting out an entire food group like carbs or healthy fats. I even get little treats 3 days a week. Okay, I won't lie, I have treats like every day. I often make my Shakeology treat like, and I also save my teaspoons and make little treats. Not every day but most.

So this weekend, my husband told our daughter she could have a cupcake. At like 9 o'clock at night. Of course, I have to take her to the store. Well they don't have just one cupcake, but they do have a dozen mini cupcakes, and that's better than 12 big cupcakes hanging around my house tempting me. I let her have one mini cupcake, and then she went to bed. And I got to pass those dang cupcakes every time I needed a drink of water that night.

The next day, I didn't have as much will power as the night before. I totally had a cupcake before breakfast. One, tiny, mini cupcake. I wasn't going to let myself feel guilty, so I didn't! It was wonderful. I counted it as a yellow container and went on with my day. Well that night, I wanted another cupcake. And they were just sitting on my counter taunting me. I was not going to give in. I googled some recipes, and decided to try birthday cake Shakeology. This is a game changer guys. Next time I crave cake with frosting and sprinkles, like next week, I'm going for this!

Chocolate Birthday Cake
1 scoop chocolate Shakeology
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp non fat cheesecake pudding mix
1/2 tsp imitation butter extract
sprinkles

Blend all ingredients in blender. Add sprinkles!

This week was also my husband's birthday. He's been doing so good with food (except during lunch since he forgets his lunch almost daily. I think he's embarrassed that I make his lunch and snacks for him). When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted, he said he didn't want any cake. Well I kiboshed that because as mentioned early I love cake. We are celebrating tonight, and I plan on having a small piece of cheesecake. This prompted the next recipe. It's delicious too, in fact, it's probably my new favorite.

Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake Shakeology
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
1/2 cup crushed ice
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp non fat cheesecake pudding mix
1 tsp caramel extract.

Blend all ingredients in blender. Enjoy.
These were both kid and husband approved! I'd even add some sea salt and make it a salted caramel cheesecake...mmm!

Try these recipes out and let me know what you think!
